  • Jacey Wood – Final 4 (College Cup)

    Players SC

Jacey Wood, Players SC alumni, in her first year at BYU is heading to Division I Collegiate Final Four (College Cup) on Saturday. Jacey a member of the Players 2003 Elite Girls team graduated early in December of 2020 and accepted a soccer scholarship to attend BYU. Jacey played all her youth soccer with Players Soccer Club. Jacey led her team to multiple state titles during her tenure at the Players SC.

Coach Saeed Bonabian said, “Jacey was destined for greatness. She worked hard at her skills and was not afraid to try them in the field of play. She embodied the model player we are striving to develop in the club. Player with creativity and flair utilizing her skills in a total team setting.” This is the first final four appearance for BYU women’s team. BYU will play University of Santa Clara on Saturday and hope to reach the Championship game and capture the national title.

Jacey Wood is the fourth player coached by Saeed Bonabian reaching the Division I Final Four. All previous players won the national championship, and we hope the trend continues for Jacey. Former Players SC alumni wining Division I National Championships were Hannah Daly, two-time NCAA champion (University of North Carolina), Zakyia Bywaters, National Champions (UCLA), and Sydney Sladek, National Champions (USC).
