Darling Tennis Center – Sports Academy Program
Objective: Darling Tennis Center is providing a safe academic and athletic program for Fall 2020 for tennis and soccer players. The Sports Academy program is designed to provide a unique and professional service to student-athletes in Southern Nevada to continue optimal athletic training while receiving CCSD outlined academic assistance and instructions.
There is an informational meeting for interested parents to attend on Monday, August 10, at 6:00pm at the Darling tennis center to provide detailed information regarding the academic and athletic portions of the program. Additional information may also be obtained by contacting us.
The academic program will be following the CCSD guidelines and the athletic curriculum will be developed for individual players based on their level of experience in soccer or tennis. A high-performance (HP) training program for advanced and intermediate level soccer players and a recreational (Rec) program for beginner and less experienced players will be available. The program is open to all young student-athletes in Southern Nevada. The highly respected youth coach, Saeed Bonabian, will oversee the soccer training curriculum and implementation. We believe the program offers participants a very unique opportunity to complete their required academic work under professional supervision and provide them with a high quality private athletic training on daily basis.
The program will be implemented in full compliance with state’s social distancing requirements and the CDC guidelines on COVID-19. The available spots will be limited to ensure compliance to safety guidelines.

High-Performance (HP) Soccer Program Goals for Intermediate and Advanced Players
This program provides a great opportunity to design a training program tailored for the individual player by our professional coaching staff. After a thorough evaluation of the individual player a comprehensive training curriculum will be developed for the entire period. The training program will include monthly video analysis of the player’s sessions to monitor and optimize progress. We understand that serious soccer players may have other team commitments, so the athletic program will be designed to avoid conflicts and to minimize training overload.
Individual training program will be designed to address all elements of soccer:
- Technical – For superior ball skills & technical speed (Ball mastery, receiving, passing, dribbling, shooting)
- Physical speed and agility – For coordination, speed, endurance, and strength/power
- Tactical – For game intelligence and in-depth understanding of positional responsibilities
- Psychological – For discipline, respect, team work, mental toughness, and competitiveness
Additionally, through this program the participants are taught the discipline and commitments required to be a successful student-athlete at all levels. The program will include variations in training to make it a fun and enjoyable atmosphere for student-athletes.
